How often do the Audi's turbos have/should be replaced?

Hey. Im looking to buy an Audi A4. I know most of them have turbos and i read somewhere that the turbos should be replaced every so many miles. Can you help please? I believe it was around 50,000miles or 60,000miles, Thanks. I appriciate it.|||Turbos are not "wear" parts, meaning they should last the life of the car. Will they? Maybe, Maybe not, but there is no scheduled turbo change. The most important things you can do to extend the life of the turbos are:

1) Change your oil at the recommended intervals, or sooner

2) Don't beat the snot out of the car

3) If you were driving hard or fast, let the car sit idle for a few minutes before shutting it off. This will allow the turbos to cool some before stopping them.

Thick white smoke from the exhaust often indicated a turbo problem.|||Is the A4 new or used? I always buy my Audi's from new %26amp; trade before they get to three years and the manufacturer warranty expires. Audi parts are very, very expensive so think carefully before you consider a used Audi and make sure if you do you buy from an authorised main Audi dealership who will include some warranty.|||Lord help you if you had to replace them every year.... No you get them inspected every 30-50k miles. If anythings wrong you rebuild them. But to be safe while you change your oil check them everytime since your already down there.|||depends on how well they have been cared for..if you dont over heat them they can last 200k miles
