Why is my Audi giving me problems with the steering?

More often than not - my audi steering jams up and becomes heavy. It feels like how it would feel if the engine wasn't switched on. I have taken it to many different garages and nobody can help.|||If the power steering fluid level is OK (i.e. there's no leaks) the most likely cause is the power steering pump or the drive to it.
