Where is the Interior Temperature Sensor in Audi A3?

I have a dagnostic code warning saying that the Interior Temperature Sensor in instrument panel is static open. Where exactly is this and how do I get to it to fix the problem? Car is Audi A3 1997.|||SENSOR IS BUILT IN TO HEATER CONTROL PANEL
