How can i get the radio code for my audi?

My car died while sitting at home for about a month. When i jumped it and got it running the radio was locked in safe mode. I bought the car used and do not have the owners manual so i dont have the code. When i called audi they were being very difficult. Do i need to just take it in to the dealership and make them help me or can it be done over the phone with the vin number and a helpful person in costumer service?|||Go to the dealer, with the VIN and proof of ownership (registration and your license), and they will put the VAG-COM on it, to retrieve the code.
