i just bought a 2000 audi 2.7 a6 does anybody have any suggestions on how to increase the performance safely? Or any aftermarket ideas?|||APR does have an ECU upgrade which will run you about $600 US. I would advise against it. Since the vehicle is a 2000, it probably has fairly high mileage. These ECU upgrades increase boost which in turn will wear out parts faster than stock boost. As you probably know the 2.7t is a bi-turbo engine and it is not fun at all to replace anything on (especially turbos). I have done this and you have to drop the whole engine and trans through the bottom of the car (extremely time consuming and expensive). I would advise not modifying this car but if you have to, APR has quality tunes and you can find it here http://www.goapr.com/Audi/products/ecu_u鈥?/a>|||You can always just chip it. its going to cost you at least $500 and your going to have to run on 93 octane all the time but it should give you what you are looking for. Try GIAC or APR, they do a lot for Audis.
